the gym was an absolute disaster—old machines and a stuffy atmosphere. oh, and staff? barely acknowledged it was my wife's birthday. quite shocking for a supposed luxury hotel. and somehow, despite my clear need, no complimentary welcome gift was offered. i guess they simply don’t care. almost gave a good review, but just couldn’t.

The chateau is surrounded by a beautiful 12-hectare park and the heated outdoor pool was a hit with the kids. We also enjoyed exploring the charming port of Port-en-Bessin nearby, famous for its scallop fishing. It was a lovely, intimate experience for our family of seven.

In my wife’s opinion, a kids' play area could really enhance the experience.
